GAME DAY PROMOTION FOR TAKIS SNACKS.

MY ROLE : ART DIRECTOR

TEAM :

CREATIVE DIRECTOR : KASEY MOORE

COPYWRITER : BEN KOCHUYT

We were tasked to create a campaign for Game Day. And the concept that we landed on was “Team Takis”. This was a promotion that included visuals for a website, a times square billboard, an influencer hosted livestream, and a grand prize of $25,000 dollars. My role in this wasn’t as much in the conception of the idea, but the creation of all the visuals that went along with the promotion.

TEAM TAKIS

The idea of “Team Takis” is that you come on the side of Takis, and you enter to get the chance to win $25,000. And all you had to do was purchase any two bags of Takis snacks and upload the receipt! We also gave away tons of prizes that could be won through a livestream hosted by Ludwig & Pokimane.

THE LOOK & FEEL

We went with a jersey texture along with a simple emblem that added “team” to the Takis logo. Along with this, the challenge was making it feel football, without explicitly using your typical game day cues. (Client specific request)

WEBSITE VISUALS

In order to even get submitted for a chance to win the grand prize of $25,000 or any prizes in general, you had to submit a picture of your receipt to a website, and i was in charge of this asset package. From website headers/banners, content module for steps, pop up logos, social media sharing thumbnails, and even email submission visuals.

We created a couple of billboards that would live in Times Square. This phase was separated into two different phases. Phase 1 focused on the prizing and advertising the livestream that we would later host. And Phase 2 was strictly promoting the livestream that we collaborated with Ludwig & Pokimane. The billboards would also be animated with movement and small animations that I worked with production to concept and execute.

SOCIAL MEDIA POSTS

Along side the packaging bug getting changed, the billboard, the website, we pushed awareness for the campaign with social media. I was tasked with creating paid posts that would live across platforms like TikTok & Meta. These were posts that I helped in the concepting phases, but primarily took control of the visual look as I was in charge of storyboarding these posts that I would later work with an animator to turn into animated videos.

GAME DAY LIVESTREAM AWARENESS

PAID META 1x1, 9x16, & 16x9

As you notice, when we transitioned from the Game Day giveaway to pushing our focus onto the livestream, we switched the jersey color to purple, this was to emphasize the NIL of our influencer partners. And helped us define different phases of our promotion.

This was a fun project to work on, and there were a few more posts and visual assets that I had worked on that aren’t shown: TikTok templates, profile updates, livestream assets, and a few social media posts. Overall “Team Takis” was an awesome promotion that I was able to refine my experience within promotional giveaways, but also open up my eyes in the behind the scenes of a different medium like the livestreaming world.
